Holiday Inn Express Hotel Clearwater East - ICOT Center by IHG

Most of the staff was friendly except for when we checked out. On May 5th at 4ish in the morning, the gentleman at the counter did not greet us, smile or answer any questions clearly. I asked for a receipt and he handed me a blank paper. After I told him it was blank, he said because I booked my reservation on booking you can get it from there. I asked him for a paper copy because that's what I normally received when I checked out and he rolled his eyes and then gave me a receipt.

Was there for the hurricane. They were kind enough to let us bring our cat at no additional charge. When we went to check out I needed a luggage cart but they were not able to locate them as other hotel guest were storing them in their room and had not returned them. The front desk laddies offered to have one of the maintenance men come up to help bring our items down to our car. This was very helpful as we had an infant and a cat. This help allowed me to stay in the room with our daughter and pet as the maintenance man helped my boyfriend with our luggage and other items down to the car.

Breakfast is nice, coffee machine always available, and popcorn free when we arrived caused a good impression on my kids.

STAFF…hurricane coming…skeleton crew on duty providing care, attention & actual physical assistance to this 80+ lady who never dreamed there would not even be a bellman. Throughout my stay, front desk gracefully answered my phone queries when she/he must have been very busy.
